Bollywood is found of making biopics and in the recent past, we’ve seen many. Right from films based on the life of Paan Singh Tomar, Chandro Tomar and Prakashi Tomar, Mary Kom et al, Bollywood has given us many stories to witness on the 70mm and now yet another on is in the making. As per a report in Midday, Ajay Devgn will be producing a project based on the life of Ramsay Brothers. Ajay along with producer partner, Priti Sinha will be making this one which is written by Ritesh Shah.
A source told the tabloid,
The Ramsay Brothers have made over 30 horror films in India. They are the masters of the horror genre, and that will be shown in the biopic. As of now, the makers are yet to decide whether this project should be a movie or a web series.
While Ajay wouldn’t be starring in this one, he is super excited to produce the project. When the tabloid got in touch with Priti, she added that she is looking forward to producing this project.
The family has put their faith in us by giving us the rights [ to a film on their life]. Ajay and I are excited to depict the fascinating journey of passion, hardship and success of three generations of the family that established the horror empire in India.
The Ramsay Brothers, have given us films like Veerana ( 1988), Purana Mandir ( 1984), Darwaza ( 1978), Bandh Darwaza ( 1990) and Purani Haveli ( 1989) amongst others and we cannot wait to witness the story of these makers on screen.
