Gone are the days of petite and perfectly groomed eyebrows, amirite? Over the past few years, people have transitioned from loving dainty eyebrows to loving bold and fluffy ones! Thanks to this hot trend, we can cut down on our weekly threading trips to the salon, amirite? Bold brows are so coveted that the sale of eyebrow products has shot up over the past few years. However, there’s a new trend on the block that’s been raising everyone’s eyebrows (haha get it?)—Soap brows!

Yes, you read it right, people are using soap on their eyebrows. My Instagram feed has been flooded with videos of people using just a spoolie and a glycerin soap to shape their brows. What they do is, scrub the spoolie against the soap to get its waxy texture and then they go ahead use it to shape their brows. If you don’t believe me then have a look at this soap brow tutorial:

So if you also want to try out this peculiar trend, here’s how you should go about it:

1. Choose The Right Tools:

This trend is basically a cheaper alternative to using brow gels. So make sure you use a glycerin-based soap (preferably clear). If you use a soap that’s not clear your eyebrows may tend to look chalky and washed out. To shape your brows, you can use a spoolie or even just an old mascara wand. Talk about being resourceful, amirite?

2. Brush Upwards:

The whole point of the soap brows trend is to achieve fluffy and bold eyebrows. So after you’ve got soap onto your spoolie, brush your eyebrows in an upward motion so that they look fuller and bolder. Repeat the upward motions a few times so that your eyebrows take shape and stay in place.

3. Fill In The Gaps:

After you’ve shaped your brows, it’s time to fill in the sparse areas. Once you’ve shaped your brows you can fill in your brows with a pencil or a powder and you’re good to go!
