Anil Kapoor is one of our favourite actors. Kapoor has always managed to remain relevant and nobody would believe that he has been in the industry for three decades. While we have seen him essaying each role to the T, talking to Midday, Anil spoke about staring in a period drama for the first time. Reports are doing rounds that Karan Johar‘s directorial, Takht, will showcase Kapoor essay the role of Shah Jahan. While it’s been a while since the film has been announced, currently it is still in the scripting procedure.
Anil told the tabloid:
I have never done a film on such an epic scale before. there are certain filmmakers who do their homework, which makes the actor’s job easy. Karan is one of them. He directs one movie in five years, so I know what he is trying to make with Takht. I wouldn’t want to interfere in the process. He is putting in a lot of hard work in the script.
Apart from Anil, the film also stars Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt, Vicky Kaushal, Bhumi Pednekar and Janhvi Kapoor. Apart from that, Kapoor is also gearing up for the release of Aneez Bazmee’s comedy, Pagalpanti. The film features an ensemble cast which include John Abraham, Ileana D’cruz, Urvashi Rautela, Kriti Kharbanda and Pulkit Samrat.
Coming back to Takht, we are eagerly waiting for this magnum opus.
