Anushka Manchanda's Latest Photoshoot Is A Testament To Why Your Girlfriends Are Your True Soulmates

Snehal Fernandes , 22 Nov 2019

As Carrie Bradshaw once said, “Maybe our girlfriends are our soulmates and guys are just people to have fun with”. Well I almost agree with this quote, ‘coz one thing’s for sure, our girlfriends are our truest soulmates. They are our therapists, our confidants, and mothers when they need to be. Find yourself a girlfriend who you can grow with and trust me, there’s no stopping you from flourishing into the best version of yourself ever. And if you don’t believe me, take a look at this beautiful visual representation done by Anushka Manchanda on how women who grow together, bloom beautifully together.

Whether you believe in menstrual cycles syncing or not, there’s an undeniable connection women hold that’s powerful enough to manifest into something more soulful and beyond. So before I ramble on, see it for yourself as Anushka puts together this visual treat with a strong message:

As I travel further in mind, body & spirit, and I forge deeper bonds and stronger friendships with women, I can really feel the full power of the feminine. I love the men in my life ♥️ but there is something different here. The bond between women, the sensuality, the strength, the understanding..it’s awe-inspiring, something to nurture, to safeguard, to celebrate! We are in this together.. 🌬 Repost : @kissnuka .. A woman's journey into this world is marked with internal changes that constantly remind her to be conscious of her body's capabilities, strengths and vulnerabilities. She is connected to the universe through biological cycles that date far back, in sync with the planets and the stars. She is a phoenix, emerging after every cycle energised and more powerful. This constant pull and push of energy in her own body enforces that she is always evolving and looks outwards with kindness and great strength. Societies have risen and collapsed and there have been praises all around for brave conquerors and strong empires, but very little has been said about the bonds between women. It's a well known discussion among friends that women who are close or who live together have synced up their period cycles. This bond between women goes way beyond a syncing of menstrual cycles, it's a shared connection which ebbs and flows, pushing each to strive forward and be the best versions of themselves. It's their constant sharing of knowledge, passing on of information and the gift to nurture life, protect and build bonds that has created the fabric of society & community. This photo essay 'Grow' is a visual representation of this bond between women. The plants are a manifestation of their capabilities, and the world around them which grows and flourishes as their bond deepens.
