Varun Dhawan narrowly escaped from getting hurt during a dangerous stunt scene he was shooting for his upcoming movie Coolie No.1. The actor was reportedly stuck inside a car hanging off a cliff and the doors were jammed. As reported by Mid Day, after Varun filmed his shot, he realized the car doors were jammed and couldn’t be opened. He was filming close-up shots while being stuck inside the car.
A witness further said that even though the stunt had been rehearsed under the professional supervision of stunt coordinators and all the safety precautions were adhered to, things, unfortunately, didn’t go as per plan. There were few minutes of panic on set as the stunt coordinators tried to get him out of the car but it was proving to be more difficult because of the dangerous position the car was at. However, Varun remained calm during the whole ordeal and finally got out of the car with the help of a stunt coordinator.
Coolie No.1 is a remake of the 1995 David Dhawan movie of the same name. The OG film starred Govinda and Karisma Kapoor in lead roles. This is the third film that Varun and his father are collaborating on after Main Tera Hero and Judwaa 2. Sara Ali Khan will be seen in Karisma’s role in the remake alongside Varun. The film is slated for release in May 2020. After Judwaa 2‘s massive success, we can’t wait to see what this film has to offer.
