Shah Rukh Khan Signs His Next Film With Malayalam Director Aashiq Abu

Shah Rukh Khan, Aashiq Abu and Syam Pushkaran (Source: Instagram | @aashiqabu)Finally, the whole discussion and speculation around Shah Rukh Khan‘s upcoming films have come to an end and we are super excited. SRK is all set to collaborate on an untitled project with Malayalam director Aashiq Abu who directed the critically acclaimed film, Virus.

The director took to his Instagram to share a picture with SRK, and writer Shyam Pushkaran of Kumbalangi Nights fame, who will pen the script. Ashiq wrote, ‘Thank you, @iamsrk. We love you.‘ With such a powerhouse writer-director duo and the amazing SRK in the lead, we are expecting one amazing movie!

According to a report in Indian Express, a source informed them that the team met at Shah Rukh’s home, Mannat, and signed the dotted line today. The film will go on floors by the end of 2020.

The producer of the film, Shaneem Zayed also shared pictures from their meeting and wrote that they had a wonderful two-hour conversation with the team and that it turned out to be one of the most memorable days of his life.
