Hina Khan has been getting some great offers when it comes to her work in the recent past, and one such role was in the second season of the web series – Damaged. The first season of the show starred Amruta Khanvilkar, and the second season now deals with a completely different plot. The actor has been seen shooting for the psychological crime drama alongside Adhyayan Suman, which is being directed by Ekant Babaniand.
For the sake of the role, Hina had to take up smoking and given she is asthmatic, she says that it was the toughest for her. Speaking about it, Hina says that she plays a complex character who is burdened by secrets and that pressure leads her to smoke and consume alcohol.
According to an IANS report, she shared:
I am strictly against smoking and have been very outspoken about it. However, the show required me to smoke for a few scenes. Since I have asthma, my director was concerned about me. However, to maintain authenticity, I did smoke and the experience strengthened my resolve to never smoke or let any of my loved ones smoke in real life. For a non-smoker, smoking in front of the camera is one of the toughest parts of acting.
Well, that’s what a good actor does, right? Go to any extent to stay authentic to the role but have that conscience to not let it influence their beliefs and practices.
