If you’re the kind who looks at what celebrities wear to then be inspired while incorporating that into your own style and wardrobe, then congratulations, you’re just like me! While fashion influencers are always there to inspire and make me think outside the box, I feel that sometimes, they’re not always quite accessible and relatively do-able to dress those kinds of ways.
However, when it comes to celebrities like Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Kareena Kapoor Khan, I know it’ll be a sure-shot win. Recently I spotted these fashion queens in very similar styles. Both styled by Rhea Kapoor, Sonam and Kareena sported structured and fitted looks in a pant-suit combo that actually anyone can pull off!
Kareena opted for a dark blue colour that featured a structured top, in a very Nehru-styled way and included lapel pins as well. The entire look was very strong and bold.
Sonam went for an easier colour… With a fresh take on mint green and power-suits, this look featured a belted in waist and trousers that cut off right above the ankle, giving it a more casual and less board-room effect.
From both these looks, it’s safe to say that:
- One should always play on colour—even with a classic look.
- Never over-accessorize. In fact, the lesser the better.
- Keep the entire look monotone and don’t add another colour to the mix.
