3 Drugstore Skincare Products That Saved My Skin & Money

Eesha Kokane

I’ll be the first one to admit that I’m a sucker for fancy packaging and boujee cult beauty products. Even if the product has no extraordinary ingredients or benefits, I’m still willing to give it a try, simply because it’s popular. However, over time I realised that these expensive skincare products usually have a lot of fragrances, and that’s why in the long term they’ll damage my skin (and dent my bank account). So after this realisation, I decided to give drugstore skincare products a try. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised! Here are three drugstore products that I swear by and highly recommend:

1. Cetaphil Moisturising Cream

Before I started using this drugstore product, I used a high-end moisturiser. I thought it would be great for my skin. However, it broke me out and ironically, my skin felt drier than before. That’s why when I found this simple and affordable moisturiser, I was ecstatic! It moisturised my skin without irritating it, and it kept my skin balanced.

2. Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

Makeup remover wipes were a staple in my makeup bag till I found out how disastrous they were. They are full of preservatives, and they are horrible for the environment. So I switched to micellar water, and it effectively removes my makeup and cleanses my skin from any remaining impurities.

3. Suncros Tint Water Resistant Sunprotect Gel

This is the only sunscreen that didn’t leave a white film on my skin. Another great thing about this sunscreen is that it’s gel-based, so it’s ideal for people with acne-prone or oily skin.
