Tahira Kashyap has risen to become an inspiration to so many young women when it comes to fighting her cancer battle and growing into a strong and determined woman. She has shown us how to put on a brave face and look at the positives even in a dire situation and it’s fair to say we have become even bigger fans of hers than her actor husband, Ayushmann Khurrana.
Now, if she’s coming up with a show where she talks about her cancer journey and how it affected her personal and professional relationships, it is sure going to be one heart-warming and inspiring series. ‘My Ex Breast’ — on the audio entertainment platform, Audible Suno — is where she speaks to her family and friends and everyone close to her who was there with her through her struggle. For the season finale of the podcast, she had her brother-in-law Aparshakti Khurana and his wife Akriti Ahuja Khurana on the show and it seems like it’s going to be one super warm episode.
If there is one good thing we think this situation has done for the Khuranas, it has brought them closer and we can see that in their pictures and social media. Tahira was one to direct Apar on his first-ever music video, Kudiye Ni, right after she was done with her chemo and treatments. We are sure that would have been one emotional journey for both of them.
On the show, they discuss how something like cancer could become an uncomfortable situation between family members, but also how they grew closer during this period. Aparshakti reveals that he was initially quite unsure and uncomfortable about speaking to Tahira about her cancer, but that it all changed once he started visiting the doctors with her and understood it all better and brought them closer. But one thing that even Apar wasn’t expecting on the show was to know that Tahira wasn’t the only one in their family to suffer from breast cancer, but his late grandmother also suffered from the similar illness. This comes as a shock to him who wasn’t aware of this and leads to him getting emotional about it.
