When it comes to hook-steps in Bollywood, we have all got to agree that no one can match Govinda‘s moves from the 90’s. From a Main Toh Raste Se Jaa Raha Tha to What Is Mobile Number, he has given us some iconic numbers. Now, who would have thought the latest Badshah track from Street Dancer 3D, ‘Garmi‘ will have a Govinda connection? It does, guys. And it is mindblowing!
Thanks to the amazing Dipraj Jadhav who makes some kickass videos where he overlays latest songs over old and vintage videos, we just realised that Govinda totally killed at the hook-step from Garmi way before Nora Fatehi.

Nora agrees to it too, as she commented on the video saying ‘Govinda wins!“. Choreographer/dancer Dharmesh, who is also part of Street Dancer 3D commented on the picture too saying, “Khatarnak bro (Killer, bro)“.
Love how Govinda and his quirky steps can still be so relevant to today’s times, no?
Street Dancer 3D, directed by Remo D’Souza, is all set to release on the 24th January and stars Varun Dhawan, Shraddha Kapoor and Nora Fatehi in the lead roles. We sure can’t wait to see Nora get the garmi soaring on screen!
