Sharvari Wagh is one of the best finds of 2020. While she will be making her Bollywood debut opposite Siddhant Chaturvedi in Bunty Aur Babli 2, the actress is already gearing up for her OTT debut. The trailer of Kabir Khan‘s The Forgotten Army released some time ago and it sure got us excited. While it looked larger than life, it was Sharvari’s acting chops that has us rooting for her.
Ask her if she was even a bit sceptical to say yes to an OTT show before the film and she says,
I never thought of it as my OTT debut. Firstly it was Kabir (Khan) sir, and anyone in their right mind would want to work with him. So that was not even the question. I also think that the platform is coming up with such great content and after I read about the character and the story, it compelled me to say yes. There was no way I could have said no.
The Forgotten Army streams from the 24th of January on Amazon Prime Video, but we will have to wait a little longer to see her on-screen.
The very excited Sharvari shares that after she came to know that she was cast for Bunty Aur Babli 2, she couldn’t contain her excitement.
It is a cult film. I remember when I reached the final stage of audition and when the director said that I was selected for Bunty Aur Babli 2, I asked him, ‘Can I react? Because I really want to. I might look like a freak but I really want to react.’ He said, ‘Please go ahead.’ I screamed a little and I said, ‘You can forget this happened.’ We are done with two months of the shoot.
