Kangana Ranaut‘s Panga releases today and true to form she drops a look that means serious business. Kangana owes her taste in fashion to the fact that she’s remained an outsider for years. But in that, she has carved a niche for herself. Everything said and done, I think she’s nailed it and made it BIG TIME.

I imagine that Kangana must be a dream to style—she seems open to the nuances of the fashion world and its evolving trends. For Panga‘s opening day, Ami Patel styled Kangana in a blush-toned, pinstripe pant-suit from Two Point Two Studio.

This monochromatic look was layered with a long blazer and pulled up sleeves. Love the oversized lapel on the jacket but, what I loved more was that it was off-set in a modern way with a bralette. Flared, ankle-length trousers and white, Kurt Geiger heels completed her subtle but strong, powerful look.

Loveleen Ramchandani glammed up Kangana’s look with flesh-toned, minimal makeup. Flushed cheeks, strong brows and a pink, glossy lip finished off her look. Her hair was styled in classic Hollywood, soft curls.

Fashion Trivia

Stripes are a fashion classic, versatile and always make a person look chic AF. Pinstripes were found on suits since the early 19th century and were used by banks in London to identify their employees.

Pinstripes were originally worn only on suit pants but upon being adopted in America during the 20th century they were also used on suit jackets. One normally associates the pinstripe with business wear but over the years it became more commonly used. Soon women began to wear it as part of their workwear as well.
