Kobe is survived by his wife Vanessa and 3 daughters— 17-year-old Natalia, 3-year-old Bianca, and 7-month-old Capri.

The father-daughter duo was traveling to the Mamba Academy for a basketball practice session when the helicopter had a fire malfunction. All nine people on board were killed. Paying a tribute to the Black Mamba and Mambacita, here are some of their pictures that will live with us forever!

I am sending all the love and grace in my heart to the entire Bryant Family and team. I have tried to conjure up a post for the last hour. My heart is broken for all the impossibility of this. Kobe was a massive part of my parent's household as he led and played for the Lakers into championships. If I were to define a “champion,” it’s Kobe. I’m praying for Vanessa and her children to face this impossible loss of their father, her husband, her daughter, and their sibling. I pray for the ability to breathe and to face it moment by moment. To lean into love and to allow grief as it comes. Just at a loss of words, nothing seems right in the world. ♥️#kobe #kobebryant #gigibryant #kobeandgianna May all the families and loved ones of the crash victims know you are also in my thoughts! 💜💛
