The first month of 2020 is finally over. Boy has it been a month of so many trends already. Pantsuits, monochrome, neon and now on the list is sarees! The classy piece of fabric will never go out of style, and our celebs are here to make sure we don’t forget that. In this month, they’ve donned several beautiful sarees for events and movie promotions and managed to kill it with every look. Here are 5 saree trends for you all to take inspiration from and bookmark them for the next wedding or festive occasion you attend.

1. Bright Benarasi Sarees

The ever-so-classy Benarasi saree is always the right choice, whether you want to attend a formal event or a wedding. Shilpa Shetty Kundra pulled it off so gracefully and certainly reminded us to stick to traditional, classic weaves.

2. Subtle Shimmer

If you’re someone who likes to keep it minimal, then this saree style is defo for you. Just like Rakul Preet Singh, you can wear a monochrome saree in a pastel shade with hints of sequins to add a touch of desi glam.

3. Two Tones/Prints

Play with two tones or two prints of the same colour but different shades to get a result like Kangana Ranaut and Vidya Balan‘s outfit. Don’t they look so elegant in this style? I absolutely love it!

4. Watercolour Print

If you love multi-coloured sarees, try it in this print. Deepika Padukone and Kangana Ranaut pull it off with so much ease and you can too! This versatile trend can be paired with minimal or chunky jewellery in gold and silver both.

5. Belted Saree

The belted saree has been an ongoing trend now, and I am still seeing our gorgeous celebs wearing it. Truly a vision in white, Gauahar Khan‘s stunning look should totally remain saved on your Pinterest board if you’re looking for something similar to this one.

So, are you ready to rock in your saree? I totally am and can’t wait for the next wedding so that I can get into my traditional avatar! Which style are you going to try? Let me know in the comments below.
