Sara Ali Khan will be seen in theatres this Valentine’s Day in Imtiaz Ali‘s Love Aaj Kal, alongside her rumoured beau, Kartik Aaryan. The film is a remake of the director’s original Love Aaj Kal which starred Sara’s father Saif Ali Khan.
The comparisons between the father and daughter’s respective films are inevitable but the Sara says she wasn’t looking to replicate the original film. She even agreed to the remake without reading the script as working with Imtiaz is what mattered the most to her. As per a report in Mid-Day, she said:
I said yes to the film without reading the script. I had asked Imtiaz sir why we weren’t calling it Love Aaj Kal 2; he explained that the concept is relevant and timeless. The idea is that love means different things for different generations.
We are sure Imtiaz’s film will woo the hopeless romantics, like they do every single time. And obviously we are eagerly looking forward to see Sara and Kartik together on screen.
