Fashion influencers are the new age celebrities. Don’t you agree? They have a massive amount of followers and so much to offer to their audience. I follow so many bloggers on Instagram to get a daily dose of style inspo and new ideas. That’s why I thought of starting a new blog series titled Blogger Pro Tips so that we all get certain tips and hacks to style a certain trend. I’m currently hooked onto the tone-on-tone trend but wasn’t sure of how to go about styling it. Fortunately, I came across a few influencers who have aced this trend with ease. It’s something you and I can certainly follow in our daily wear outfits. Here are 5 ways as suggested by some of my favourite bloggers.

1. Playing With Shade

Blair Eadie‘s certainly got this trend on point. She plays with shades of yellow for the whole look. There are hints of this tint in every element—chrome yellow in the printed top and the bag as well as butterscotch yellow in the skirt. So, now you know how to mix and match with tones of the same colour.

2. Add Contrast

Another way of styling this trend is by adding a contrasting colour. Aashna Shroff breaks the green tonailty of the look with a pair of red sneakers.

3. Print On Print

Juhi Godambe mixes two prints but in the same tone. In this look, she chooses to break the monotony with a tan satchel. However,  you can also pair it with a bag of the same colour but a shade darker.

4. Mixing Textures

You can also mix and match with fabrics. For example, Chriselle Lim opts to play with tones of pastel blue but differentiate it with the help of textures in the outfit. She pairs a rib knit top with a coarse textured overcoat and smooth surfaced pants. This gives depth to your outfit.

5. A Strong Accessory Game

Sometimes, it’s best to keep the outfit simple and let your accessories do all the talking. Deeksha Khurana‘s outfit is perfect for those who love to keep it simple but add a hint of colour to their look. She brings everyone’s attention to her look by pairing the white ensemble with a colourful neckpiece and kolhapuris.

Aren’t all these looks super doable? I’m sure most of you have something in your wardrobe that will let you implement these styles. Which one are you going to try? Let me know in the comments below.
