The Academy Awards is something I look forward to every year. Who doesn’t, right? It’s so much fun to wait and watch who receives the awards but before that, it’s exciting to see all the great looks the celebrities bring forth to the red carpet. Last year, pink seemed to be a theme at the Oscars. I also remember Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga and Charlize Theron grabbing everyone’s attention with their red carpet fashion. This year, it seems like the actors opted for bold outfits with minimal accessories. Take a look at their outstanding red carpet looks from the Oscars 2020. They certainly deserve everyone’s attention.

1. Natalie Portman

Natalie totally deserves an award for her look. She wore a Dior outfit and the standout was her cape. It had all the names of the female directors who weren’t nominated this year embroidered to it. More power to her, as well as the designer for honouring them in such a memorable way!

2. Saoirse Ronan

What a stunning look this is! Saoirse’s Gucci ensemble was super bold and mesmerising. I wish that skirt would magically appear in my closet RN!

3. Brie Larson

I’m a sucker for subtle shimmer and Brie’s custom made Celine gown has my eyes glued to it fosho!

4. Charlize Theron

Charlize makes all heads turn once again this year with her classy look. Doesn’t she look super elegant in this Dior gown?

5. Scarlett Johansson

Scarlett slays in this handcrafted piece from Oscar de la Renta. Fun Fact: The intricate corset and satin skirt took close to 300 hours to make by expert craftsmen. Let that sink in for a moment.

6. Penélope Cruz

Now, who doesn’t love a dress with pockets, right? Penélope’s Chanel dress was comfort at its best.

7. Gal Gadot

Gal Gadot dazzles the red carpet in a Givenchy outfit with lace details. She adds a pop of colour with a red lip and looks chic in this ensemble.

8. Renée Zellweger

The winner of the Best Actress In A Leading Role for Judy, Renée Zellweger was a vision in white. She sparkled on the red carpet in this minimal look, wearing a one-shoulder Armani gown. Doesn’t she look sophisticated? I certainly think so!

9. Lilly Singh

Look at this queen! Lilly always blows my mind with her boss lady style. She wore an Adeam Japanese, crepe suit and paired it with a cube clutch and an oversized, chain choker from the same designer.

10. Mindy Kaling

Mindy lit up the red carpet with her yellow dress from Dolce & Gabbana. Doesn’t she look like a ray of sunshine at the Oscars?
