Deepika’s been in the news a lot and continues to wow us and her fans with her taste in fashion. While Deepika she continues to remain conventional for the most part, I do love how experimental she’s become with her outfits lately. Deepika Padukone was spotted in head-to-toe all black for two nights in a row and I don’t hate it!

Last night at the 12th Radio Mirchi Music Awards Deepika pleasantly surprised us and left us in awe with her Balmain look. Shaleena Nathani styled DP in a hooded jumpsuit with a plunging neckline and cut-outs at the waist. The stirrup detail on the pants was quite a fun memory of 80s gym-wear fashion. The elastic fabric was opaque and matched the lapel on her tuxedo jacket beautifully, making her look to die for.

She accessorised her look with a stack of diamond and pearl, chunky bracelets, delicate midi-rings. Christian Louboutin black pumps to elevate the androgyny of the look.

For Deepika’s beauty, the makeup was subtle. Shimmery eyeshadow, nude lips, strong brows, contoured cheeks and white nails add to her look. While the hood covered her head, her hair was styled with a few loose strands of wavy hair peeking out.

Fashion Trivia

Stirrup leggings are a type of pant that tapers at the ankle, except that the material extends to a strap, that is worn under the arch of the foot to hold the leggings in place. The material is often elasticised to prevent the fabric from tearing. Stirrup pants were originally sportswear for women and became a regular part of fashion around the 80s.

What about this look do you love? Don’t you think that Deepika is slowly but steadily becoming the female version of Ranveer Singh. Let me know in the comments below.
