Anushka Sharma has come such a long way since her Band Baaja Baaraat days, she now owns her own production house called Clean Slate Films with her brother. They’ve already made movies like Phillauri, Pari and NH10 that have created a niche in Indian cinema. Anushka Sharma is currently in New Zealand—Christchurch supporting her husband Virat Kholi who will be playing the second and final Test match at the Hagley Oval starting on February 29th 2020.

Moving on to the topic of fashion and why you’re really here. I feel like Anushka’s finally settled into the kind of style she wants to showcase. It’s definitely minimal and simple but classic and captivating. I’ve always thought she is one of the best dressed celebrities in Bollywood who doesn’t seem to chase the trend bandwagon. I also identify most with Anushka’s style because it seems most wearable.

Allia Al Rufai styled Anushka in a fresh off the runway spring summer 2020 look from Tanieya Khanuja. This particular outfit was recently showcased at Lakme Fashion Week SR’ 20. The cream gown was entirely crafted with large circular sequins and resembles mermaid scales, fit Anushka’s body like a glove. The outfit had a deep, plunging neckline and featured batwing sleeves that cascaded down to the side of her hip. Tiny studded earrings and nude, strappy sandals completed her look. I love the absence of jewellery and how it elevated the sophistication and elegance of this entire look.

Makeup artist Daniel Bauer gave her dewy skin and went for the no-makeup, makeup look with kohl lined eyes and a tinted lip. While hairstylist Gabriel Georgiou gave her a slick, low-bun, centre-parted hairdo that accentuated her jaw line and kept the focus on the dress.
