Rakul Preet Singh's Saree Looks Like The Milky Way

Nelly Wadia , 04 Mar 2020

Rakul Preet Singh is a Bollywood bombshell who largely works in the Telugu and Tamil film industry. Rakul’s also currently the brand ambassador for the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao programme by Telangana State Government. Rakul has participated in several pageants like Femina Miss India, People’s Choice Miss Indiatimes and won a bunch of titles as well. And hence it comes as no surprise that the actress was in attendance of the 8th edition of Cheryl’s Femina Ms Stylista West 2020 in Mumbai. Here’s a look at her marvellous outfit from last night.

Rakul Preet Singh In Limerick

Celebrity stylist’s Aastha Sharma & Reann Moradian from The Wardrobist styled Rakul in a celestially inspired saree from Limerick by Abirr n’ Nanki. This collection was called Intergalactic and consisted of looks that were inspired by Saturn and Jupiter. However, the design technique employed to create these outfits is the water marbling technique. This black and white saree was paired with a halter style, polo neck blouse with pulled thread detailing. Silver kadas and tiny silver studs from Amrapali Jewels elevated this look.

I’m not the biggest fan of pinkish tones in makeup, especially when used in a monochromatic fashion. That being said, Rakul is a very beautiful woman and still pulled off this look by Salim Sayyed beautifully. Ashis Bogi gave her wavy open hairdo. TBH, I think the whole look would have benefited from her hair being pulled away from her face. And the hair and makeup was definitely a miss with this look.

Fashion Trivia

Water Marbling is the process of floating fabric paints on the surface of a thick cellulose solution. The floating paints are swirled into patterns that you then capture by laying a treated piece of fabric on top of the paint to transfer the swirls to the fabric.
