One beauty myth that we all need to stop believing is that we have to be a certain age to start preventing ageing. In fact, many dermatologists and estheticians encourage using anti-ageing products as soon as you’re in your twenties. With every passing day, your skin will produce lesser collagen, and it’ll become more susceptible to losing moisture which will cause problems like wrinkles and fine lines. That’s why it’s vital to include anti-ageing skincare products in your routine. Recently, I came across a YouTube video by skincare expert Hyram about this exact topic. Here are a few anti-ageing tricks that he recommended:

1. Use A Moisturiser Night And Day

As we age, our skin tends to lose more moisture and produces less collagen and hyaluronic acid. That’s why it’s crucial to keep your skin moisturised. So use a moisturiser that suits your skin type and use it every night and day.

2. Include Exfoliating Acids In Your Routine

Exfoliating plays a considerable role in the way your skin looks. If you neglect to exfoliate your skin, then your pores can stay blocked, and your skin can look dull. That’s why to include exfoliating acids such as glycolic acid, salicylic acid and lactic acid in your skincare routine. This anti-ageing trick will immensely help you in the long run.

3. Use A Night Cream

Using a night cream will help maintain your skin’s elasticity, and it will help boost collagen production. Talk to your dermatologist or esthetician and ask them to recommend you a night cream according to your skin’s needs.

4. Control Your Facial Expressions

If you always frown or wince, then you are accelerating your skin’s ageing process. So be more gentle with your facial expressions, and you’re good to go.

5. Always Use SPF

This is probably the most crucial anti-ageing trick in the book. The sun is significantly responsible for accelerating the skin’s ageing process. UVA and UVB rays of the sun can cause pigmentation, skin damage and fine lines. So make sure you use SPF every single day!
