Badhai Ho was one film that was so different and unconventional, it was the breath of fresh air we needed! Starring Ayushmann Khurrana, Neena Gupta, Gajraj Rao and Sanya Malhotra. This was a film about a middle-aged mother who gets pregnant, and how her adult son comes to terms with it. Now, according to a report on Mumbai Mirror, the makers are all set to come back with a sequel starring Rajkummar Rao and Bhumi Pednekar titled Badhai Do.
Directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni, this is the first time Rajkummar and Bhumi will be sharing screen space. Like Badhai Ho, this film too will speak about something relevant and relatable, but in a humorous manner. According to the publication, Rajkummar will be seen playing a cop in this film, while Bhumi is set to essay the role of a PT teacher.
Speaking about his role in the film, Raj says that this role is different from the roles he has played before. He says that he is playing a male cop in a Mahila Thana and is surrounded by strong female characters which adds a lot of depth to his character. Bhumi also speaks about how her character is a strong, independent and well-written, and that she is excited to bring it to life and share screen space with Raj for the first time.
