Holi is undoubtedly everyone’s favourite festival of the year. There are fun colours; you get to attend parties with your friends and great music; what’s there not to love about Holi? Well, there is one thing that bothers me—post-Holi skin. After playing Holi, my skin feels clogged and in desperate need for a detox. If you feel the same way, here’s what you can do to detox your skin post-Holi:

1. Double Cleanse

If you know me, you’ll know that I’m a firm believer in the double cleansing method. It involves using two different kinds of cleansers, an oil-based cleanser and a water-based cleanser. The oil cleanser will remove the oil-based impurities like excess sebum from your skin, and the water-based cleanser will remove water-based impurities like sweat. Hence, double cleansing will remove all the dirt from your skin and unclog your pores.

2. Use An Exfoliating Toner

When you use an exfoliating toner with AHAs or BHAs, you’re unclogging your pores and removing the dead skin cells. That’s why it’s perfect to use post-Holi since it will thoroughly clean your pores.

3. Use A Detox Face Mask

Use a clay or a mud mask, this will help detox and refine your pores, resulting in brighter and cleaner skin. I recently used this face mask and I have to say that my skin instantly felt smoother and brighter. It contains montmorillonite clay it helps remove toxic impurities from your skin. So make sure to detoxifying face mask post-Holi to remove impurities and restore the glow back to your skin.
