Rohit Shetty‘s upcoming film, Sooryavanshi, boasts of such a power-packed star cast that it’s enough reason to be excited about it! Starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles, the film will also have Ranveer Singh and Ajay Devgn in super entertaining cameo roles.

With Ajay’s Singham and Ranveer’s Simmba being a part of the Rohit Shetty cop universe, the actors were there to support Akshay at the trailer launch of the film. While there, Rohit is said to have made a comment about Katrina’s role in the film, saying that with all the three boys in the frame, no one will look at her. This started trending as #ShameOnYouRohitShetty and received backlash from Twitterati for being condescending.

But Katrina came to Rohit’s rescue and tweeted about the issue, stating that the director’s statement was pulled out of context. She took to Instagram to explain that she was talking about how she blinked in the shot, and Rohit commented on that saying that with the three other boys in the frame and a blast happening in the background, no one will see her blinking!

Here’s what she said:

Dear Friends and Well-wishers… I normally do not comment on media reports or articles… But in this case, I feel a comment made by Rohit Sir has been taken out of context and is been entirely misunderstood. I am referring to the comment as reported that Rohit Shetty said, ‘No one would look at me in the frame, as there are three boys there and a blast happening”‘, this is not what was said. I mentioned that I had blinked in the shot, and Rohit sir said, ‘there are four people together in the frame and a bomb blast happening, no one will notice you BLINKING.’ In spite of that, we still did one more take. I share a very warm equation and friendship with Rohit sir and have always enjoyed our discussions on everything from cinema to my character and, more importantly, he has always been there as a friend for me. This has been taken entirely taken out of context. Hope you all have a great day.

Well, we are glad Kat came out to clear the air and we can’t wait for the film to come out on the 24th of March.
