Taapsee Pannu has been on a roll when it comes to signing on some amazing films, no? A few months ago, she announced that she will be starring in a film called Rashmi Rocket and released a motion poster for the same. She is set to play a woman who is a fast runner in the film.
As for the male lead, Bhavesh Joshi Superhero fame Priyanshu Painyuli is all set to essay the role of Taapsee’s husband. Directed by Akarsh Khurana, Priyanshu will play an army officer in the film, and is sure very excited about this
Speaking about being a part of the film, he says:
In Rashmi Rocket, I will be playing the role of an army officer in the film. It’s a matter of great pride for me. Since I come from the defence background, playing a man in uniform is both an honor and responsibility. It’s extremely exciting especially after my last film Upstarts, whose universe is so far removed from the world this film is set in. The film will kickstart next month and we will shoot across Delhi, Kutch, Dehradun, and Mussoorie. It’s a fictional film but it is inspired by real events.
Priyanshu has starred in Farhan Akhtar‘s Rock On 2 and was also seen in the Netflix film, Upstarts. He will also soon be seen in the Chris Hemsworth starrer Extraction directed by Sam Hargrave which drops online in April.
With such an exciting line-up of films, we sure are excited to see Priyanshu in Rashmi Rocket and his other films very soon!
