Being an avid follower of fashion, I’m always searching for new trends. I love to keep up with trends and take notes of stylish prints, colours, and silhouettes. Today, I was in the mood to find some inspiration for Indian wear, especially kurtas. It is a quintessential wardrobe element for all Indian women. This versatile piece can be worn for workwear, formal, festive occasions, and weddings. Style inspiration comes from so many people, especially from celebrities. And, I happened to look at some gorgeous looks from my fave Bollywood stars! If you want ideas for your next desi OOTD,  then you must check out these stunning kurta styles as seen on these celebs.

1. Deepika Padukone

A single colour can have a huge impact too. Deepika proves this with her mustard yellow suit from Sabyasachi. The takeaway from this style is that even if you want to rock monochrome, play with textures. For instance, the kurta of this suit is fully sequined, which adds an aesthetic touch to the whole look. The rustic gold heels, black potli, and earrings break the monotony of the outfit. Kudos to Shaleena Nathani for styling Deepika brilliantly.

2. Karisma Kapoor

Now, this is something different. Karisma looked classy AF in this Payal Khandwala ensemble. Who would have thought of wearing a kurta over a white shirt and making it look like a modern suit, right? I would totally sport this cool outfit styled by Eshaa Amiin. Would you?

3. Kangana Ranaut

Kangana Ranaut shows how to rock Indianwear at airports too. She was recently spotted in this easy-breezy salwar kameez at the airport with high fashion accessories. She wore a beige kurta with blue and white striped palazzos and paired them with a pair of Gucci Emma kitten heels and a Dior tote bag.

4. Aditi Rao Hydari

Aditi had opted for a collared, three-fourth dyed, bandhani kurta with palazzos from Pramaa By Pratima Pandey. The floral applique added a pop of colour to the whole outfit. I really loved those long, flared sleeves that extend to the floor. This is a great style to sport when you don’t want to wear a dupatta. The addition of that black belt cinched to the waist elevated the outfit. Juttis from Not Just Threads and silver jhumkis from Sangeeta Boochran completed this contemporary look. Styling credits go to Sanam Ratansi.

5. Kiara Advani

Jacket style kurtas have been in trend for long now. Styled by Lakshmi Lehr, Kiara donned this style in a stunning Anita Dongre set. Kiara looked super chic in this sleeveless, V-neck kurta with a front slit and straight fit pants. Her accessories were minimal and matched with the tones of her clothes.

6. Janhvi Kapoor

If you’re a fan of Janhvi Kapoor, you know that she loves wearing salwar suits and kurta sets every time she steps out on the streets. Do take notes from this look tho. It shows us how to style a simple, white kurta. She paired her sheer kurta over dual-printed ghararas with lace detailing. The print of her juttis matched with the colours in her pants. She added a modern touch with her black handbag with faux fur detailing.

7. Vidya Balan

Vidya Balan’s angarkha style Anarkali from Manish Malhotra proves that this trend is here to stay. I really liked the white and gold combination. Styled by Who Wore What When, the outfit has brocade buttis as the central detailing. She accessorized it with gold jewellery and a chevron embroidered potli from Lovetobag. Simple, yet elegant!
