Ram Gopal Varma is one of the most controversial celebrities on Twitter. RGV took to his Twitter to write that he has been tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday. Consequently, the news caused a lot of panic among his 4 million followers on the platform. However, he later dished the dirt and called the news an April Fool’s prank, and that he was only trying to make light of the serious situation.

RGV penned in one tweet, “My doctor just told me that I tested positive with Corona.” But after receiving an outpouring of comments by his followers, he confessed that it is an April Fool’s joke by tweeting, “Sorry to disappoint, but now he tells me it’s an April Fool joke, it’s his fault and not mine.” In his subsequent post, he tweeted “Anyway I am just trying to make light of a grim situation but the joke is on me and if I did offend anyone I sincerely apologise to them.”
