Deepika Padukone has come a long way in the film industry. She debuted in Om Shaanti Om opposite Shah Rukh Khan back in 2007. The leggy beauty has not only evolved as an actor but also with her style. Every time she steps out on the street, she delivers some ground-breaking trends. Unfortunately, none of us can see any new looks from our fave celebrities because of the lockdown. Everyone is at home to flatten the COVID-19 curve, which is great!
While I was sitting at home last weekend, I was scrolling through Deepika’s stylist Shaleena Nathani‘s Instagram feed for some inspo. I happened to find some of Deepika’s favourite styles. According to me, here are six trends she swears by.
1. Monochrome Madness
Whether it’s at the airport or a casual outing, Deepika seems to love the monochrome trend. She has aced this style by mixing tones and textures of the same colour.
2. High-Waisted Denims
I’m glad to know that Deepika and I have something in common—our love for high-waisted denim jeans! I spotted DeePad wearing them so much in the last one year. She mostly pairs them with stylish tops, an extended belt, and stilettos or kicks.
3. Statement Sarees From Sabyasachi
Deepika has delivered stunning looks in sarees and she seems to have a favourite designer, that is, Sabyasachi Mukherjee. I’m not surprised tho because the designer really has some of the most beautiful designs in Indianwear.
4. OTT At Events
A little drama never hurt nobody, right? Deepika has always made a statement at formal events and award functions. Her bold, fearless choices have grabbed eyeballs. Her over-the-top gowns and outfits have been a major hit, and I will always remember some of these looks.
5. Layering At Airports
I have mostly seen Deepika layer it up at airports, something most of us do too. However, if you want some outerwear inspo from her, then defo save these airport OOTDs. I secretly want to steal all these amazing jackets from her wardrobe! She will never forget a pair of dark sunglasses to complete her airport look.
6. Turtleneck Tops
Apart from layering, turtleneck tops are Deepika’s go-to for her airport style. She often pairs them with pants or trousers of a similar shade and matching footwear.
