I don’t know about you, but if I am bored and furiously browsing through channels and F.R.I.E.N.D.S is on T.V., I am going to stop and watch. Irrespective of what season or episode it is, I sit and laugh just as hard as I did when I watched it the first time. Naturally, as I am spending a lot more time at home, I end up spending a lot more time in front of my television, aka watching F.R.I.E.N.D.S.

So as I cuddle up in my old PJs & torn tee, to watch another episode of this favourite cult sitcom, I had a sudden realisation. Even though the characters from the show spent a lot of time together in their apartments, they did dress up. Dressed for comfort, yes, but never shabby. Their looks make for the ultimate “put together at home outfit” mood board. With the revival of ’90s trends, such as slip dress, kitten heels, baguettes, mom jeans, classic sneakers, cowl neck crop tops, wide-legged pants and, tie & dye, the show’s style is wearable even today. All the three lead female protagonists of the show had distinctly different styles. Hence, the options to chose from are plenty.

So here are some outfit ideas from F.R.I.E.N.D.S to fuel your stay-at-home sartorial choices.

1. Rachel’s style

Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) is the fashionista of the group. Her apartment outfits include preppy checkered mini skirts, lace tops, denim-on-denim looks, denim overalls (which also went onto becoming an iconic Rachel Green look), and slip dresses. Keep scrolling for Rachel‘s outfits.

2. Monica’s style

Monica (Courteney Cox), on the other hand, dressed for utility. Since Monica was always up to some household chore or busy cooking, she dressed to get the job done. Her style oscillated between androgynous and chic. Monica’s outfit choices include cropped polo tees, mom jeans, flannel shirts, ditsy printed skirts, turtle neck tops and sneakers; she always paired her outfit with the right sneaker.

3. Pheobe’s Style

As for Pheobe (Lisa Kudrow), her style represented her mood. She played with textures and prints and was probably the only character who dared to go beyond basics and experiment with her looks. From print-on-print to velvet dresses and flowy kaftans, Pheobe was never bound by the latest trends.
