Ever since the lockdown was initiated due to the spread of COVID-19 in India, we haven’t been seeing any celebrity spottings. TBH, I kinda miss the style inspiration they would bring every day and I can’t wait for things to finally get back on track for us to step out of the house. I was going through some of our old celeb archives a while ago just to see some cool looks from our B-town babes and I spotted a very unusual and underrated trend that so many of them have sported—bows. A small bow on a neckline or sleeves or even a large bow on a gown can add such a style statement, right? Moreover, it has been a runaway favourite among designers and my fave stars have sported it so many times in the past during red carpets, movie promotions, and casual outings. Take a look at how ten of these divas have aced this trendy element.
1. Ananya Panday
Ananya wore a yellow, Dylan Parienty layered tulle gown with a black bandeau cold-shoulder top, which had bows on the sleeves during the Filmfare awards. The bows actually helped to balance the volume at the bottom. Didn’t she look like a cute princess?
2. Shraddha Kapoor
Shraddha sported this chessboard checked dress from Shraddha Naik during her promotions for Street Dancer 3. That big bow on her left shoulder really added so much grandeur to her whole outfit. A red lip and winged eye completed this bold ensemble.
3. Alia Bhatt
Alia’s buttercup yellow Jonathan Simkhai dress with a front bow tied at the centre is giving me all the summer feels. I can’t wait to rock my summer outfits as soon as it is safe to step out of the house.
4. Deepika Padukone
Deepika always makes a statement with her looks and this is just another example. She had donned a stunning all-white ensemble from Roksanda with a scarf tied in the form of a bow around her neck. That really elevated the look. What do you think?

Malaika’s fluid, white dress from Aiisha Ramadan has a large bow in the front of her chest and her look was accessorised with pearl-drop hoops. She looked fabulous in this dress!
6. Tara Sutaria
Tara sported a bespoke neon co-ord set from Mandira Wirk. The bandeau top was definitely the highlight as it has a butterfly bow in the front to add that unique touch to the outfit.
7. Kiara Advani
When Kiara had attended the Star Screen Awards, her red carpet looked grabbed eyeballs. She wore a gorgeous black lace, one-shoulder, thigh-high slit gown from Steven Khalil. The big velvet bow on her right shoulder certainly made a mark. She carried this look with so much class, noh?
8. Surveen Chawla
How gorgeous did Surveen Chawla look in this black lace gown from Tanieya Khanuja. The large, black sequin bow at the back added a dramatic flair, making it the perfect red carpet look.
9. Sara Ali Khan
Sara Ali Khan looked breathtaking in this Paule Ka dress. It had a huge bow at the back along with a cape-like drape attached below it, which made it look like a train for the dress. Didn’t she look beautiful?
10. Kareena Kapoor Khan
The ever-so gorgeous Kareena Kapoor Khan blew my mind when she had worn this blue, sequined gown from Raisa Vanessa during a shoot for a TV show. Power shoulders and the draped bow towards her left side, a little below her waist really upped the ante. She had accessorised the outfit with bright pink, strappy stilettos to complete her classy look.
