If there’s one thing that Bollywood doesn’t have as of yet, it’s a woman superhero film. But Ali Abbas Zafar, the director of Tiger Zinda Hai and Bharat is making sure we get a superhero film led by a woman. The director who went home to stay with his parents during lockdown has been social distancing himself while he is busy writing the script for the above-mentioned project. In fact, in a recent interview with Mumbai Mirror, he confirmed the news saying they would most definitely start shooting for the same once the lockdown ends since the script has been locked. The director also revealed that Katrina Kaif will be the lead of the film. We can already see how perfect she is for such a project.
Ali also revealed that since this was an action film there is a lot of prep required and he was in touch with international teams over video calls for the same. He has also started doing script reading with the actors and production designers. He also cleared that they will only start shoot once the lockdown ends and it is safe after which he and Kat will go for a recce.
The director is reportedly also working on another script for which only the first draft is completed. Kat on the other hand is still waiting for the release of her film alongside Akshay Kumar, Sooryavanshi. The film was originally supposed to release on 24th March 2020 but was postponed due to the pandemic.
