It’s with a heavy heart that we write this. Wajid Khan of the popular music composer duo Sajid-Wajid passed away thus morning. The composer who was 42 passed away in the early hours of Monday due to complications from a kidney infection as reported by PTI.

Wajid was hospitalized a few days ago due to his kidney complications. He was reportedly diabetic, had undergone a kidney transplant and was also on immunosuppresants. The singer- composer was on the ventilator for the last four days. His brother Sajid confirmed that the musician had died of a cardiac arrest and had also tested positive for Covid-19.

The singing duo is famous for composing songs of the Dabangg series, Rowdy Rathore, Welcome and many other popular film music. Wajid as a singer is known for giving his voice to songs like Soni De Nakhre from Partner, Love Me from Wanted, Humka Peeni Hai from Dabangg, Mashallah from Ek Tha Tiger and lots more. Bollywood celebrities took to social media to express their condolences and what a great loss it is to the entire music industry.
