Just like last year, Khiladi Akshay Kumar is on the Forbes 100 list of highest-paid celebrities. We have learnt that the 52-year-old actor is the only Indian celebrity to be featured in that list. The star has left Hollywood celebs like Will Smith, Jennifer Lopez, Rihanna, Lady Gaga behind with earnings of 48.5 million dollars. However, Akshay’s rank has dropped to #52 from the previous year’s #33 with 65 million dollars. According to the reports, the ongoing pandemic has impacted his earnings.
The American magazine describes the Sooryavanshi actor as “Bollywood’s top-earning star” and “One of India’s most philanthropic celebrities”.
The listing also points put that Akshay’s alliance with Amazon Prime Video for his digital debut series, The End, is one of the reasons he is on the list this 2020. It is said that the US-based streaming giant has signed the deal for Akshay’s debut at a whopping amount of 10 million US dollars which is roughly Rs 75 crore.
Meanwhile, The 2020 Forbes top 10 highest-paid celebrities around the world include Kylie Jenner who ranks at #1 with $590 million while Kanye West, Roger Federer, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi, Tyler Perry, Neymar, Howard Stern, Lebron James, Dwayne Johnson complete the top list of 10.
