Sushmita Sen is back on our screens and how! I just watched the trailer of her new web show Arya and I have goosebumps. This woman can look outright sexy and badass like it’s a walk in the park and that’s exactly what she’s done in her new web show, Aarya.
Helmed by Ram Madhvani the director of Neerja, Disney+Hostar‘s new show, Aarya looks super intriguing. The show is based on the Dutch drama series Penoza. The trailer is nothing short of mind-blowing and shows Sushmita’s character (Aarya) as a family-oriented woman married to Chandrachur Singh who plays her husband. Her world turns upside down when she learns that her husband deals in illegal medicines and threatens to divorce him when he is shot. The next part shows how Aarya has to pick herself up and get into the dirty business herself to save her family.

Sush’s last stint on-screen was No Problem in Bollywood back in 2010 and Nirbaak, her first Bengali film in 2015. Ever since then, her fans have been yearning to see her back on screen.
