Thank the lord for Maggi, now more than ever! Surviving this lockdown would be so difficult for us bachelors, had Maggi not existed. But to be honest, we’re all kind of bored eating the same thing so often now, noh? And our all-time saviour Vidhi Doshi a.k.a. @ramenhairedgirl once again had a solution to this. She did a few experiments and shared her recipe of Cheese Maggi Pakode, which looks bomb! If you wanna try it out too, then scroll down to check out the full recipe with step by step images.

What You’ll Need

1 pack Maggi + 1 extra pack Maggi masala

1 tbsp celery

Grated cabbage, grated carrot, spring onion greens, finely chopped capsicum (2 tbsp each)

1 finely chopped chilli

1/4 tsp each red chilli powder and garam masala

Salt to taste

2 tbsp maida

1 tbsp cornflour

7 one cm cubes of cheese

1/4 cup maida mixed with 1/4 + 2 tbsp water

Rava for coating

Here’s How You Can Put It All Together

Step 1: Cook the Maggi according to package instructions until 80 percent cooked without adding the masala.

Step 3: Further, grease your hands with a little oil. Put a little mixture on your hands and flatten it, place the cubed cheese in the centre and add more Maggi on top.

Step 4: Shape it into a ball carefully as this will be delicate. If it’s still not holding shape, add more cornflour for binding.

Step 5: Now you can either directly coat this in rava or make it extra crispy by coating it in the maida water slurry and then in the rava. Fry it in hot oil till golden crispy.
