Like many other B-town celebrities, veteran actor Anupam Kher has been keeping in touch with his fans through social media. The actor is quite active and is often seen sharing his views on many subjects. Recently, in an interview with a news portal, Anupam Kher opened up about his mental health. He said that he was clinically diagnosed as manic depressive.

The veteran actor said:

I was clinically diagnosed as manic depressive. I went to the doctor, surrounded myself with medication and moved on. Humei apne tarike se deal karna hota hai (we have to deal with it in our own way) and friends and family should understand if one is behaving in a lonely manner it is important to get them out of the zone.

Talking about the lessons he took away while working in films, he shared:

That failure is an event and never a person. You need to continue doing what you feel is right and then after few years, you need to reinvent yourself, craft and keep moving on. You need to keep exploring and not boast over your laurels and start every day as a newcomer.

Further, talking about the current lockdown situation, he said that he had never expected for it to last so long. He said that it has made him realise that he is not as restless he used to think before and he has become a lot calmer. “I feel there is so much to life. People have come closer to their families“, he said.

On the work front, the actor recently streamed his digital play, Kuch Bhi Ho Sakta Hai, on his own website. Helmed by Feroz Abbas Khan, this play portrays Anupam Kher’s many failures, and how he conquered them to become successful. The play also shows the life lessons that the actor learnt over the timespan of his career.
