After celebrating the success of her debut web series, Paatal Lok, Bollywood actor and producer Anushka Sharma is all set to share her next project with all of us. The actor unveiled the first look of her next film titled, Bulbbul which will stream on Netflix from 24th June.
Sharing the motion poster on her social media, she captioned it, “Here’s your first look at #Bulbbul, a fantastic tale about self-discovery, and justice, wrapped in lore, mystery and intrigue, coming soon on @netflix_in. Can’t wait to share more!”
The film is a period drama set in Kolkata and will feature Avinash Tiwary and Tripti Dimri in the lead roles. It also has Rahul Bose, Paoli Dam, and Parambrata Chatterjee playing pivotal parts. Bulbbul is said to be a horror tale with supernatural elements of love, mystery, self-discovery and vengeance.

Bulbbul is being produced under the actor’s Clean Slate Productions, co-owned by her brother Karnesh Sharma. The film’s narrative is set in 20th Century, Bengal and it follows the journey of a young girl, Bulbbul from innocence to strength after a legend of a chudail sheds a looming shadow over her world.
On the work front, Anushka is busy producing some great content as of now. She was last seen in Anand L Rai‘s Zero alongside Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif. She will be next seen in Prosit Roy‘s Jhulan Goswami biopic.
