Sushant Singh Rajput‘s untimely demise had left the entire country shocked. While there are many speculations for the reasons behind why he died by suicide, there has been nothing concrete except for the fact that he was severely depressed. In the police investigation that followed his demise, they found out prescriptions and medicines to cope with depression in his apartment. But his father who had come down from Patna for the actor’s last rites revealed that he wasn’t aware of his son’s depression.
Mumbai police recently recorded the official statements of Sushant’s father and his two sisters before they returned to Delhi and informed that the family has no suspicion of any foul play. His father, although unaware of his depression added that the actor often felt low but he didn’t know he was being treated and were on medicines for the same.
The police will also be speaking to Sushant’s manager Siddharth Pathani to look into whether professional stress or rivalry played a part in the actor taking this drastic step. Other factors like Sushant’s financial condition, upcoming projects, and work profiles are also being considered during the investigation.
After his postmortem, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh had taken to Twitter to give everyone an update about the same on Twitter.
While the post mortem report says actor @itsSSR committed suicide by hanging himself, there are media reports that he allegedly suffered from clinical depression because of professional rivalry. @MumbaiPolice will probe this angle too.
