The coronavirus pandemic throughout the country led to a complete halt in television and film shooting and production for almost 3 months now. Now, with the help of the Maharashtra government, a few production houses are thinking of resuming shoot. Ekta Kapoor‘s Balaji Telefilms is also thinking of resuming shoot on its shows — Kasautii Zindagii Kay, Kumkum Bhagya and Naagin 4.

Reports suggest Kasautii Zindagii Kay is set to resume shoot from next week following strict guidelines and protocols. Karan Singh Grover, who played the iconic villain Mr. Bajaj, has apparently quit the show. Now, the makers are on a hunt f0r the new Mr. Bajaj. News is that actor Gaurav Chopra has been approached to replace Karan. A report on Telly Chakkar says that when Gaurav was approached about it, he said discussions were on but said that it was better the production house breaks the news first. Gaurav is known for his stint on the show Balika Vadhu, and has acted in AltBalaji’s show, Fourplay.

It is also said that Panipat actor Sharad Kelkar is also being approached for the same role. We are excited to know who will finally get on board!

As far as the other actors on the show are concerned, Parth Samthaan — who plays Anurag on the show — is back from his hometown and ready to resume shoot. But, Erica Fernandes, who plays Prerna, is not sure of resuming shoot as yet, and has also expressed her concern about it in a statement.
