A woman has accused Baby Driver and The Fault In Our Stars actor Ansel Elgort of sexual assault. She said she was assaulted when she was a minor. The claim was dismayed by Ansel and he said, “her descriptions of events is simply not what happened”.

The woman, named Gabby, released a long statement on Twitter on Friday. Her caption read, ‘My story with Ansel Elgort’, detailing the alleged 2014 assault, as reported by Deadline. “I was sexually assaulted a couple of days after I just turned 17. And he was in his 20s… It was my first time and I was sobbing in pain and I didn’t want to do it the only words that came out of his mouth were ‘we need to break you in’,” she wrote.

The actor broke his silence over the incident and took to his Instagram to deny the allegations pitted against him. Ansel clarified that he was in a “consensual relationship” with the woman. “Gabby and I had a brief, legal and entirely consensual relationship,” he said. The actor also added that he “never and would never assault anyone”.

On the professional front, Elgort will next be seen in Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story. It is one of Disney’s planned releases for the holiday season. The actor will also be seen in Tokyo Vice, which happens to be one of HBO Max’s highest-profile original series.
