Post-mortem reports of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput have been received by the Mumbai Police. They confirmed that the cause of death was ‘asphyxia due to hanging’.

According to a report by India Today, the post-mortem report was presented by three doctors, and a team of five doctors signed off the final report. The police are now awaiting the viscera report.

The final autopsy report stated—

There were no struggle marks or external injuries on Sushant Singh Rajput’s body. His nails were clean.

So far 23 people have been questioned including Sushant’s sisters and father, Rhea Chakraborty, Mukesh Chhabra among others. In addition to that, the police also made clear that the building CCTVs were working fine, and his dog, Fudge was in another room and is very much alive.

Sushant had died by suicide by hanging himself at his Bandra residence in Mumbai on 14th June. However, no suicide note was retrieved from the actor’s house, police said. According to the reports, Sushant was suffering from clinical depression.

Sushant was last seen in Nitesh Tiwari‘s ‘Chhichhore‘. The movie also starred Shraddha Kapoor, Tahir Raj Bhasin, Varun Sharma among others. The late actor will be seen in Mukesh Chhabra‘s Dil Bechara opposite Sanjana Sanghi. The makers of the film just announced that it is going to stream on Disney+ Hotstar from the 24th of July. However, Sushant’s fans wanted it to have a big-screen release as a way of bidding the actor a farewell he deserves.
