Koffee With Karan has been one of the most popular celebrity talk shows ever since its inception. Back in the day, this was the only place other than tabloids were you could get all the scoop about your favourite celebs and just see them in a fun element. But things have changed drastically, following KWK’s path, there has been a number celebrity talk show hosted by many who’s who of the industry. Even then, fans of the show watched the show religiously. Up until now.
Recently, the show and Karan Johar came under fire by social media for promoting nepotism and for specifically two episodes in which you can see Sonam Kapoor and Alia Bhatt choosing someone else over Sushant Singh Rajput. And now, reports in Bollywood Hungama suggests that the talk show may have come to an end altogether. With the English vertical of Star India, Star World being shut down, KWK is also going the same way.
While plans to shut down Star World were going on for quite some time now, Star had decided to shift Koffee With Karan to another channel owned by the group. But now, with all the social media ire and controversy that’s going on regarding the talk show and KJo, Star has decided to shut it down.
Does this mean we will not see another season of KWK? We will have to wait for an official confirmation of the same.
