Akshay Kumar‘s Sooryavanshi and Ranveer Singh‘s 83, two of the biggest releases of the year ,were postponed due to the pandemic. Theatres were also forced to shut down due to the lockdown. Now, the good news is that on Tuesday, some of the leading cinema chains of the country — including PVR, Carnival, Inox and Wave Cinemas — took to their social media to announce the theatrical release of the movies. Sooryavanshi will be hitting the silver screens on Diwali while ‘83 will open on Christmas this year.
While it’s not certain as to when the cinema halls will be reopening, cinema owners are confident that things will be fine by the festive season.
