After tasting huge success with Malang 2, Aditya Roy Kapur and filmmaker Mohit Suri were all set to collaborate again. The director had earlier announced that Ek Villain 2 is on papers and Aditya would play the lead. However, according to a recent report by an entertainment portal, the actor has opted out of the movie.

A source close to the production said—

Aditya has opted out of the project due to creative differences with Mohit. The actor wanted to have creative control over of the script of the film which led to issues between him and the director.

The report further stated that there is no ill-feeling between the actor and director. They both share a great rapport and parted ways in this movie without any bitterness between the two. However, no official statement has been shared by the Ek Villain 2 team or the actor concerning the same.

The first instalment of Ek Villain hit the screens in the year 2014 and featured Sidharth Malhotra, Shraddha Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh. Ek Villain 2 will feature Disha Patani, John Abraham, Tara Sutaria and Ruchi Kapoor. The movie is being produced under the banner of Balaji Motion Pictures.

Meanwhile, Mohit Suri has already started working on the sequel of Malang 2. He had recently shared a glimpse of his laptop screen which mentioned the movie’s name. And his caption read, “to make a great film you need 3 things: The script, the script and the script – Alfred Hitchcock #malang #firstdraft #malang2″.
