Sushant Singh Rajput‘s sudden demise re-ignited the subject of nepotism, favouritism and lobbying culture in Bollywood. An app called Nepometer has been freshly launched by the late actor’s brother-in-law, Vishal Kirti‘s brother, Mayuresh Krishna. As the name suggests, Nepometer is developed to point out the proportion of nepotism in a movie. The app estimates a movie in five categories— producer, lead artistes, supporting artistes, director and writer, and shows the result on its basis.

The first film to be rated on Nepometer was Mahesh Bhatt‘s upcoming film, Sadak 2, featuring Alia Bhatt, Pooja Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt and Aditya Roy Kapur in the cast, and produced by Mahesh and Mukesh Bhatt.

According to the app the movie, Sadak 2 is 98% nepotistic. In their social media post, it read:

#Sadak2 is 98% Nepotistic. We rated it based on 5 categories, Producer, Lead Artists, Supporting Artists, Director & Writer. 4 out of 5 categories have Bollywood Family members. When #nepometer is high, it’s time to #boycottbollywood. Will you watch this movie? Tell us in comments.

The Nepometer initiative launched on Twitter aims to resist nepotism in the Hindi film industry with sufficient information. The Tweet describing the app read:

Fight Bollywood Nepotism with Information. We will provide a rating for movies based on how nepotistic or independent movie crew is. If the #nepometer is high, then it’s time to #boycottbollywoodnepotism #fightnepotism.
