The lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in a lot of big-budget films being pushed for theatrical release. Since all the theatres are shut, makers of these films are now waiting for a better date to release their films. Salman Khan has his slot fixed on Eid, but missed it this year due to the lockdown. So now, he is keen on  releasing his upcoming film, Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai on Diwali this year.

A report in Mid-Day quotes a source who informs that Salman wants to release Radhe this Diwali as he wants to then focus on Abhiraj Minawala‘s next, Guns Of North. Directed by Prabhudeva, Radhe has only 10 days of shoot left and the post-production work on the film is already underway.

The source adds:

The post-production of Radhe is underway with Ajay Devgn’s NY VFXWaala handling the film’s special effects. He’s eager to return to set and film the pending portions, which includes a song.Once he has wrapped up the shoot, the superstar will begin work on Guns Of North and Farhad Samji’s Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali. Salman thinks Diwali will be the perfect window for Radhe as christmas is too far away.

The film also stars Disha Patani, Randeep Hooda, Jackie Shroff and Gautam Gulati.

If Radhe is headed for a Diwali release, it will be clashing with another big-budget film — Akshay Kumar‘s Sooryavanshi. So, guess we’ll have to get ready for two big blockbusters this festive season.
