Amidst the current situation, Instagram makes a historic move and announces the launch of testing Reels in India (A new video format on their platform). The format offers a new way of creating and sharing videos on Instagram. The main aim of this idea is to keep people entertained on their platform with this new feature.
With over a billion people using Instagram globally, Reels can prove to be a fun way of expressing themselves. Users can shoot and edit 15-second clips with various creative shooting and editing tools available with the Reels feature and a wide array of music options as well. If your account is public, then the clips will also feature on a new space ‘Explore‘. The sole idea behind this is to reach and engage with a wider Instagram community.
The feature will roll out in India today at 07:30 PM IST and a diverse set of popular content creators like Komal Pandey, Arjun Kanungo, Gippy Grewal, Kusha Kapila, RJ Abhinav, Ammy Virk, Indrani Biswas a.k.a. Wondermunna, Radhika Bangia, Ankush Bhaguna and Jahnavi Dasetty will populate the platform with new content. After Germany, Brazil and France, India is the fourth country to start testing the Reels feature.
