And then we stay up all night just to make ourselves believe our lives haven’t been taken over by our work-life fully. This ruthless cycle needs a solution. And what is that? Day drinking! 1. Hydrate Yourself In Between

We all know that alcohol makes us pee a lot and that’s why it is important to make sure you hydrate yourself between your drinks. Downing a glass of water in between your drinks will not only help you slow down but also detox along the way.

2. Avoid The Sweet Ones

Cracking open a cold one might be tempting in the day but it’s not the best choice if you’re looking to avoid hangovers. Beers, wines, sugary drinks, and the wheat-based ones can not do much when it comes to handling hangovers. The reason behind it is that the liver now has to process both the alcohol and the sugar from the drink that you just gulped down, causing your blood sugar level to drop.

Keeping our drinks as clean as possible can help reduce the chances of getting a hangover. Try to stay away from artificial sweeteners as mixers in your drinks too. And defo add lime to your drink!

3. Don’t Stay Out In The Sun

Sun does not affect the alcohol in your body, but being out in the sun in general can make you pretty dehydrated. And we know dehydration isn’t good for hangovers! So make sure you stay in the shade while you’re enjoying your drinks in the day time.

4. Avoid Dark Drinks

Drinks that are typically darker in colour tend to make hangovers worse. The reason for it is that drinks get their dark colour from congeners that are a byproduct produced during fermentation. It is basically like a chemical soup. And so your body has to not only process the alcohol but also the chemicals in it, making it longer for the alcohol to get out of your system.
