The COVID-19 numbers in the country is only going up after almost 4 months of lockdown. While things were eased slightly in June in the unlock phase, the Government has gone on to impose lockdown again because of the increasing spread of the virus. After Amitabh Bachchan and his family tested positive for the virus, Kasautii Zindagii Kay actor Parth Samthaan was next to be tested positive for the virus. He took to his Instagram on Sunday to inform his fans and followers about his health.
He said he only had mild symptoms and that he is in self-quarantine. But, urged everyone who has been in close proximity with him to get tested to be safe. On hearing of this news, Ekta Kapoor cancelled all the shoot of the show. They had just about starting filming again post the lockdown, when they had to shut operations.
Speaking about this, a source from the set told Mid-Day in a report:
Pooja Banerjee and Shubavi Choksey were shooting their portions at the Andheri studio when word about Parth’s health came in. On Ekta’s orders, the production house immediately cancelled the day’s shoot, and requested the cast and crew to self-quarantine. They also urged those who were in close proximity to Parth to get tested.
The report also states that the studio was disinfected, and that shoot has been cancelled for three days. Post this, the production house will decide if they need to resume shoot.
The shoot of the shows, Kumkum Bhagya, Kundali Bhagya and Pavitra Bhagya were also stalled because they were being shot in the same studio.
Ekta Kapoor, taking to her social media to share a statement about Parth’s health and how Balaji Telefilms is taking all the precautions and steps necessary. She also shared the teaser clip of Parth’s upcoming web series. titled ‘Mein Hero Boll Raha Hoon‘, and wrote, ‘Get well soon Parth! ‘Kasauti…’ is waiting for its ‘Hero’ !’.
